myQSL.org Characters: Hillbillies! When you think of the country you might sometimes think of antisocial technophobes. But Hillbillies were all over the airwaves in the CB heyday! I call them Hillbillies with the greatest love and respect, only because it's obvious that CBers weren't shy about their rural roots. It was so common to put a hillbilly on your QSL card that I almost wonder if some of them weren't posers and imposters!!! Keep an eye on the state--if you see one from Canada they're probably rural people who wish they had that deep-down Hillbilly identity! Now these hillbillies are not idle folk, and they spill over into many of the other categories--Fishermen, Hunters, Farmers, even Hoboes! So basically I took a look at these folks and decided that whatever else was going on with them, they were Hillbillies Uber Alles. If we're talking bout The South you might want to see the Confederate & Local/Regional sections too.
