myQSL.org Characters: Hillbillies! When you think of the country you might sometimes think of antisocial technophobes. But Hillbillies were all over the airwaves in the CB heyday! I call them Hillbillies with the greatest love and respect, only because it's obvious that CBers weren't shy about their rural roots. It was so common to put a hillbilly on your QSL card that I almost wonder if some of them weren't posers and imposters!!! Keep an eye on the state--if you see one from Canada they're probably rural people who wish they had that deep-down Hillbilly identity! Now these hillbillies are not idle folk, and they spill over into many of the other categories--Fishermen, Hunters, Farmers, even Hoboes! So basically I took a look at these folks and decided that whatever else was going on with them (drinking, driving, farming...), they were Hillbillies Uber Alles.
